Johanna Bonvillain Bergeron, 73, a native of Shaw, Ms., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, August 17.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde Francis Bergeron of Houma; two sons, Gregory Steven Bergeron and wife Jodi of Mandeville, La., and Wesley Paul Bergeron of Houma; one daughter, Dana Bergeron Coleman of Houma; one brother, Morris Bonvillain Jr. of St. Rose, La.; two sisters, Edith Turack of Pennsylvania, and Frances Torrance of Florida; eight grandchildren, Courtney Elizabeth Bergeron, Douglas Paul Coleman, Alex Phillip Bergeron, Allyson Nicole Bergeron, Danae Marie Coleman, Vincent Michael Bergeron, Brooke Ashley Bergeron and Brenae Lynn Bergeron; and one great-grandchild, Kelsey Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris Paul Bonvillain Sr. and Elma Porche Bonvillain; and two brothers, Edward Bonvillain and Ernest Bonvillain.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Bayou Region Hospice.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, August 18, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 19, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
