September 13, 2010John E. “Uncle John” Dufrene, 70, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Larose, La., died at 1:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010.
Mr. Dufrene was always in good spirits and enjoyed traveling. He was a parishioner of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Stella Verdin Dufrene; son, Billy Dufrene; daughter, Sheri Bouffanie; brothers, Warren and Gary Dufrene; sister, Evelyn Boudreaux; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13 at Church of Christ in Larose with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
