John L. Jones, 86, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish, La., died Monday, November 24.
He is survived by his sons, John L. Jones, Jr., Gilbert (Doris) Jones, James Jones and companion Kim, Warren (Elizabeth) Jones, Joseph (Pamela) Jones, Ernest (Ann) Jones and Marshall (Ruthie Mae) Jones of Sandord, Fl.; daughters, Irma (Joesph) Rener and Gelene (Joseph) Allen of Houma, La.; 20 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Parker Jones; parents, Freeman Jones and Olivia Fitch Brown; daughter, Alma Jean Jones; brothers, Ernest Antoine Jones, Andrew West and Ben P. Brown; and sisters, Marian B. Lieteau, Evelyn Duroncelay and Ethel B. Hayes.
He was a former employer of Benoit Machine Shop and Consolidated Government.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, at Community Funeral Home with the funeral services to follow. He will be buried at Union Benevolent Cemetery
Community Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
