John Rhorer Legendre, 84, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died on Wednesday, May 4, 2016.
Mr. Legendre graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., and then served three years in the Navy. He was a financial advisor and volunteered at St. John Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Irene Legendre; daughters, Leslie (Dan) Mills, GiGi (Ricky) Bonvillain and Joanie Legendre; son, Jack (Heidi); sister, Myrtis Trowbridge; and six grandchildren.
Burial is at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.
