John “Mike” Michael McDaniel, 49, a native of Morgan City, La., and resident of New Iberia, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011.
Mr. McDaniel participated in Special Olympics where he won many awards. He enjoyed bowling, music, dancing, wrestling, giving hugs and especially enjoyed playing with his army figures. He attended Berwick Jr. High where he participated in special education.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn McDaniel; sisters, Tammie Terrebonne and Debra (Robert) Harrington; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John McDaniel; and sister, Cynthia McDaniel.
Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
