John (Morris) Foret Sr., 94, a native of Grand Caillou, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, April 14, at 7:30 p.m.

He is survived by his sons, Patrick Foret, Morris Foret and wife Ethel and Randy Foret and wife Tanya; daughters, Mary Billiot and husband Emile, Patricia Babin and husband Ernest and Clarissa Johansen and husband Eric; sisters, Agnes Rancatore, Hazel Bennet and Margaret Solet; 33 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Adelia Antoinette V. Foret; sons, Mark and Arthur Foret; brothers, Elton, Antoine (Tico), Paul and Irby Foret; and sisters, Libby Verdin and Eunice Duthu.

He was a parishioner of Living Word Church.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at Falgout Funeral Home’s Chapel with the funeral to follow Thursday. He will be buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
