December 31, 2009John D. Whipple Sr., 57, a native of Bourg and resident of Bayou Black, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2009.
He is survived by his wife, Christina Lopez Whipple; son, John Whipple Jr.; daughter, Lisa Anna Whipple; brothers, Wayland Jr. and Daniel Whipple; and sisters, Suzette Whipple, Melva W. Pierce and Mary Whipple.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayland Sr. and Rita Guidry Whipple; son, James Joseph Whipple; and brother, David Whipple.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue. Service will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
