Johnny Joseph Durpe, Sr., 69, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, La. died Sunday June 10, 2007 at 6:42pm.
He is survived by his son, Johnny Dupre, Jr.; three daughters, Loria D. Foret, Cindy D. Thibodaux, Tammy D. Navarre and her husband Ernest “E.J.”; one brother Edwin Dupre and his wife Dula; six grandchildren, Aaron Dupre, Shelia and Jamie Porche, Abigail Foret, Andrea and Heather Navarre.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eola “Blondie” Marcel Dupre; his parents David T. and Octavia Porche Dupre; and one brother Clark Dupre, Sr.
Johnny was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue.
He was a retired Sugar Cane and Vegetable farmer who loved to hunt.
Visitation is Tuesday, June 12, 2007 from 4:00pm until 9:00pm at Samart Funeral Home in Houma and on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 9:00am until 11:00am at St. Louis Catholic Church, with the funeral to follow. He will be buried at St. Louis Cemetery in Bayou Blue.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
