Johnny Howard, 63, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018 at 2:26AM. He was a native of Columbia, LA and resident of Houma, LA.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation beginning on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home and Friday, March 9, 2018 from 9:00AM until Service Time. A Liturgy of the Word will begin on Friday, March 9, 2018 at Chauvin Funeral Home beginning at 11:00AM.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife Jeanne Portier Howard; Son, Curtis Howard and wife Tamicka Kane; Daughter, Desiree Howard Triche and husband Armond “Tee” Triche Jr.; Brother, Gary Howard and partner Debra Raychel; Grandchildren, David Triche, Cameron Triche, Tayah Howard, Braden Triche; Nephews, Gil Howard, and Caine Howard; Godson, Callie Howard and Niece, Kada Howard.
Johnny is preceded in death by his Parents, Clifton O’Neal Howard and Jeanette Cossey Fisher; Paternal Grandparents, Vollie and Stella Howard and Maternal Grandparents, Jack and Jessie Cossey; Father-in-Law, Aubrey Portier; Sisters-in-Law, Melissa Howard and Darlene Fair.
Johnny was a retired Sergeant with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriffs Office and a Charter Member of the Brothers In Blue, Dirty South Chapter. He had an avid love of motorcycle riding. Johnny loved to go camping hunting and fishing with his family. Johnny was a member of the Village East Volunteer Fire Department.
Johnny will be forever loved and greatly missed; but never forgotten by all his family and friends.
