May 12, 2011Joseph Colar, 77, a resident of Jeanerette, La., and native of Florence Plantation, La., died 10:30 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice Bourda-Colar; son, Carl Stewart; daughters, Glenda (Morris) Lewis, Rosalind (Herman) Diggs, Judith (Wilton) Hurst, Angele Kiel, Julien Williams-Staples and Robin Gibson; sister, Agnes Lewis; 24 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
He is interred Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. (Jones)
