October 23, 2010Joseph “Boo” Floyd Foret Sr., 69, a native and resident of Dulac, La., died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010.
Mr. Foret was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and shrimping.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Foret; children, Joseph Jr. (Cathy Verdin), John (Dena), Dianna and Melissa Foret; seven grandchildren, Joseph, Michael and Scott Starkey, John Foret Jr., Steven Verdin, Angelle Gregoire and Sarah Foret; four great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ethan, Zachary and Ali Starkey; and sister, Theresa Foret Courteaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ernestine Eve Crochet Foret; daughter, Brenda M. Starkey; brothers, Joseph and John Foret; sisters, Shirley Dion, Lucille Luke, Doris Verret and Mary Billiot.
He is buried at Holy Family Catholic Church Cemetery.
