Joseph “Lance” Billiot, 75, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Dulac, La., died Thursday, Oct. 1, at 12:20 a.m.
He is survived by three sons, Elvis Billiot and wife Carlene, Kurt Billiot and wife Donna, and Irving Billiot; three daughters, Linda Thibodeaux and husband LeRoy, Brenda Dehart and husband Wesley, and Christine Ray and husband Shane; two brothers, Harold Billiot and Norman Billiot; four sisters, Rita Smith, Diane Falgout, Patsy Trosclair and Gwendlyn Billiot; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty B. Billiot; parents, Claude Billiot and Eleanor Frances Billiot; one son, Michael Billiot; and one daughter, Barbara Billiot.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at Samart Funeral Home in Bayou Blue, La. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery No. 2 in Dulac, La.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
