Gov.’s wife joins effort to build Gray Habitat home

Joseph Loadice “Joe” Mouton Sr., 76, a native of Abbeville, La., and resident of Theriot, La., died at 3:20 a.m. Sunday, May 9, 2010, after a long battle with cancer.


Mr. Mouton was a commercial fisherman and, later, a carrier for the Houma Courier for more than 10 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Fay Russell Mouton; sons, Joseph Jr. (Julie) and Marty Mouton; daughters, Gussie (Rodney) Matherne, Cindy (Dean) Doiron, Brandy Dupre, and Mandy (Ryan “Chip”) Clark; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Mouton’s name are appreciated.
