Joyce D. Gaspard, 68, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died Sunday, March 14, 2010.
Mrs. Gaspard was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, PTA, a Cub Scout den mother and the Council on Aging Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed playing cards and Pokeno.
She is surivived by her husband of 49 years, Norrison P. “Sonny” Gaspard; sons, David (Angie) and Daniel (Connie) Gaspard; brother, Jimmy (Emma Lois) Dardar; sisters, Nora (Mitch) Verdin and Elaine Soley; four grandchildren, Janita Allemand, and Davery, Brandon and Tristin Gaspard; two great-grandchildren, Mason Allemand and Wyatt Gaspard.
She was predeceased by her parents, Augustin and Alva Farve Dardar; sons, Darren and Derek Gaspard; brother-in-law, Harris Soley; and sisters, Mary Ann Matherne and Elsie Lee.
She is buried at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
