Juanita Pierce LeBlanc, 74, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Monday, July 23, 2007, at 8:35 p.m.


She is survived by her husband, E.J. Leblanc, Jr.; two sons, Perry LeBlanc and his wife Cindy and Terry LeBlanc and his wife Liz; two daughters, Becky Garza and her husband Jose and Lynne Galliano and her husband Logan; one brother, Dale Pierce; one sister, Pauline Loupe; six grandchildren, Erin Allemand and her husband Byron, Kaylie and Kassie LeBlanc, Jarad Garza, Chad and Dionne Galliano; and one great grandchild, Aiden Allemand.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Forest and Eulalie Bruce Pierce; and two sisters, Virley Cheramie and Betsy Pierce.

Juanita was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Name Society and the Holy Rosary Ladies Alter Society. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, The Bayou Civic Club, and the Larose Senior Citizens Club. She served as a Scout Leader for 25 years and was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Juanita retired from Latelco after 27 years of service. She loved the Atlanta Braves baseball team.

Visitation is Wednesday, July 25, 2007, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La. and Thursday, July 26, 2007, from 7:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.

Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
