Local lawmakers’ pre-filings a mixed bag
March 25, 2010Katherine Martha Talbert, 62, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, March 12, 2010 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Talbert was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Leroy Talbert Sr.; daughters, Christina of Labadieville and Tremika Talbert of Kenner; sons, Leroy Jr. and Nelson Talbert, both of Napoleonville; mother, Eula Pearl Johnson of Avondale; sisters, Omega Jones, Eula Pearl Holmes and Aliza Longmire; brothers, Glendon Jr., Nelson and Bernell Berry; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glendon Berry Sr.; one brother; and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at St. Philip Baptist Church in Labadieville. A religious service, conducted by the Rev. Junius Thompson, will follow at 11 a.m. at the church.
She will be buried at St. Philip Baptist Church Cemetery in Labadieville.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
