Odomes’ lifelong friend to testify against him

August 29, 2011Kathryn Vinning Barras, 78, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, La., died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Michael) Landry; brothers, Julius and Lawrence Vinning; grandchildren, Cherri, Mary and Terri Landry; and great-grandchildren, Blaine and Ethan Landry, Jeffery Lambert and Arian, Macy and Austin Wiggins.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Allen Barras and Alvin Legendre Sr.; parents, Mitch and Clara Vinning; brothers, Mitchell, Norman and Clarence Vinning; and sisters, Vera Morgan and Mildred David.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29, at Hargrave Funeral Home with services to follow. Burial will be at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
