Local troops brace for life away from home

Kenny James Bergeron, 40, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009.
He is survived by his mother, Marguerite A. Billiot; son, Dulton Bergeron; daughter, Kelsey Bergeron; brothers, Michael, Andrew, Eddie and Ronnie Bergeron; half-brothers, Wayne and Rodney Paul Billiot; and sisters, Debra Hatcher, Donna Lynn Bergeron, Priscilla Berger and Christine Bergeron.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer “Faye” Verdin; and father, Andrew J. Bergeron.
Mr. Bergeron is buried at Rogers Cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
