Kyndal Lee Verdin, 27, a native and resident of Houma, La., died in a motorcycle crash at 11:46 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007.


Visitation will be from 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at noon Wednesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Eloi Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Careese Verret Verdin of Houma; one daughter, Kyndalyn Lyne Verdin of Houma; his parents, Bobby and Susie Verdin Slaughter of Bayou Dularge, La.; two brothers, Brandon Slaughter of Houma and Brian Slaughter of Marshall County, Ala.; three sisters, Kami Slaughter and companion, Michael Mears, of Baton Rouge, La., Keyna Slaughter of Houma and Melanie Slaughter of Marshall County, La.; and his grandparents, Bill and Alice Slaughter of Kingsport, Tenn.


He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eva and John Verdin.

He was a tug-boat captain with Esketein Marine Services.

He was a member of the Bayou Dularge Volunteer Fire department and an avid motorcycle rider.

He loved his wife, daughter and many friends.
