Lambert Landry, 88, a native of Chackbay, La. and resident of Thibodaux, La. died Saturday, October 20, 2007, at 8:30 a.m.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Michel Landry; four sons, Gary Landry and his wife Laura, Lambert Landry and his wife Rosie, Arnold Landry and his wife Cathy, and Terry Landry and his wife Connie; two daughters, Simone L. Stein and Mary Beth L. Rodrigue and her husband Brian; two brothers, Vital Landry and Prophet Landry; two sisters, Gertrude L. Rodrigue and Margie L. Loupe; 15 grandchildren, Gary Landry, Jr., Kevin Landry, Gretchen S. Rhodes, Johann Stein, Kirsten Stein, Christina L. Harris, Graham Landry, Shannon L. Schmidt, Kelley L. Brock, Matthew Landry, William Landry, Derrick Landry, Seth Landry, Brian Rodrigue, Jr. and Ryan Rodrigue; and 11 great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Ulbert Landry and Liva Rodrigue; one sister, Sophie L. Bonadonna; and one son-in-law, Huey Stein.

Lambert was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. He was a loving husband to his wife Mary for 69 years. He was a retired self-employed businessman and a member of North Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department and the Woodmen of the World.

Visitation is Wednesday, October 24, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, October 24, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Thibodaux Funeral Home, with the funeral to follow at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. He will be buried in the church cemetery.
