Barracudas make waves at state meet

Lawrence “Larry” Collins, 65, a native of Golden Meadow, La., a former resident of Brownsville, TX, and resident of Honduras, died in the VA Hospital in Houston, TX, Friday, July 13, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Collins; one daughter, Thaisy Collins; two sons, Yuri and Nachette Collins; his mother, Minta Collins; five sisters, Simone Dupierre, Veronica Gisclair, Rosanna Aucoin, Celena Rousse and Lillian Riera; one brother, Peter Collins; his second wife, Lupita Collins; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Collins.
A Memorial Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Golden Meadow, with full military honors in the VA Cemetery in Houston at a later date.
Veterans Funeral Services is in charge of the arrangements.
