Lawrence “Daig” Toussaint, 72, a native of Lafourche Parish, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, Oct. 1, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Carrie Mae Toussaint of Thibodaux; two daughters, Roxanne Guidroz and husband Bryant of Houma, La., and Wendy Toussaint of Thibodaux; one sister, Essie Mae Martin of Thibodaux; three godchildren, Shirley Thomas, Gwen Thomas and Paula Smith; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Orelia Toussaint; one son, Kenneth Toussaint; and one brother, Burrel Toussaint.
He was a member of Third Zion Baptist Church and served on the Usher Board.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Third Zion Baptist Church in Raceland, La., with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the Young Men’s Benevolent Cemetery at Lafourche Crossing, La.
Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
