Lee M. Leblanc, 88, a native of Chacahoula, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died at 1:22 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011.


Mr. Leblanc was a veteran of World War II where fought in four major campaigns in the South Pacific. He received the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the VFW, DAV, American Legion, Military order of the Purple Heart and Knights of Columbus.


He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Flo Leblanc; children, Vickie (Dickie) Naquin, Ted (Lana) and Gaynell Leblanc; sisters, Viva Adams, Beulah Pontiff and Earline Warnken; six grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and numerous great- and step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Linda Leblanc; brothers, Jay and Jerry Leblanc; and granddaughter, Leanne Dronet.

Burial was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux. (Thibodaux)
