Lenwood J. Gaudet, 75, a native of Bayou Chene, La., and resident of Amelia, La., died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013.


Mr. Gaudet loved shrimping, crabbing, crawfishing and fishing. He worked for McDermott for 27 years and was also a beekeeper for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Andrew Catholic Church and was one of the first Eucharistic Ministers there. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Lula Mae Gaudet; daughter, Darlene Monceaux; sons, Mark and Joseph Gaudet; brother, Gilday Gaudet Jr.; sister, Eva Mae Ohmer; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilday Sr. and Ella Mae Gaudet; sons, Lynn and Aaron Sr. Gaudet; brother, Julius Gaudet Sr.; and one great-grandchild.


Burial is at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery. (Twin City)
