Leon “Boom” Melvin Veal III, 33, a native of Houma, La., and resident of New Iberia, La., died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010.
Mr. Veal was Baptist.
He is survived by his companion, Aiesha Lee; parents, Leon and Gail Veal; son, Leon M. Robinson; stepchildren, Jacolby, Whitney and Keyante Lee and Jalacia Riles; grandmother, Eula Bell; brothers, Robert (Genevia Thibodaux) Veal, Guy (Chrysantha) Campbell, Roderick (Monica) Butler and Leon (Tiffiney Lucas) Veal; and sisters, Sheryl and Jada (Robert) Veal and Dawn N. Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia C. Veal; one brother, Jeon M. Veal; and grandmothers, Georgia Scott Harrell and Albertha Moore Scott.
He is buried at Deweyville Cemetery.
