Leroy Joseph Authement, Sr., 77, a native of Chauvin, La. and resident of Dularg, La. died Wednesday, October 31, 2007, at 10:40 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Deon Authement; four sons, Brian Authement and his wife Angela, Leroy Authement, Jr. and his wife Belinda, Michael Authement, and Avery Authement and his wife Vickie; three daughters, Christine Rodrigue and her husband Russell, Odette Poston, and Angela Rink and her husband Darryl; two stepsons, Patrick Babin and Donovan Babin and his wife Sunny; three stepdaughters, Norma Ann Theriot and her husband Tony, Janet Bergeron and her husband Trever, and Anita Gonzalas and her husband Angel; two brothers, Norman and Adrian Authement; one sister, Jeanette Stringer; 24 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Theresa Dupre Authement; his parents, Whitney and Zelinda Prosperie Authement; two sons, Patrick and Jerome Authement; and one daughter; Catherine Authement.
Visitation is Monday, November 5, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a memorial mass to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
