Leroy Spot, 55, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, July 29, 2011.


Mr. Spot was Baptist.


He is survived by his children, Leandre Morris, Pierre Jacob and Roy and LaKisha Norman; stepson, Rontrell Norman; stepdaughters, Christy Morris and Dakota Norman; brothers, Ernest Jr. (Gail) Turner, Andrew (Darlene) Spot and Robert (Barbara) and Anthony (Michelle) Mitchell; stepbrother, Wilbert Mitchell; sisters, Cadeal Campbell, Mary (Alfred) Smith and JoAnn Johnson; stepsister, Barbara Turner; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Theresa Williams; brother, Mote Mitchell; and brothers-in-law, Henry Campbell Sr. and Joseph Johnson.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2011 at Morning Star Baptist Church on Johnson Ridge with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Young Men’s Benevolent Cemetery at Lafourche Crossing. (Kennedy)
