Leroy Sterling Chauffe, 71, a native of New Orleans, La., and a resident of Hayward, Ca., died Wednesday, September 3.


He is survived by two sisters, Janice Chauffe and Darlene Chauffe of Detroit, Mi.; four nieces, Patricia Johnson, Ava Pollard, Malissa Wilson and Bridget Pollard all of New Orleans; and one nephew, Alfred Pollard Jr.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Melissia and Ulysses Chauffe Sr.; one brother, Ulysses Chauffe Jr.; and two sisters, Alice Pollard and Gail Chauffe.

He was Baptist.

A religious service will be held Saturday, September 20, at 11 a.m. at St Mark Baptist Church in Labadieville, La., with burial at the church cemetery

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
