Leslie “Doc” Joseph Guidry, 88, a native of Bayou Dularge, La. and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, May 27, at 8:45 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy “Dot” Marie Gaudet Guidry; son, Nathan Paul Guidry of Houma; step-son, Robert “Bobby” Paul Fanguy and wife Cindy of Haysville, N.C.; daughter, Darlene Allred and husband Wendell of Sugarland, Texas; daughter-in-law, Aline Fanguy of Houma; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Guidry Sr. and Annette Aycock Guidry; son, Dennis Paul Fanguy; brothers, Lawrence Guidry Jr., Francis Guidry, Roland Guidry, Eldon Guidry and Elmore Guidry; and sisters, Mary Rita Guidry and Mary Lee Braud.
He was an electrician for Texaco for 37 years and was a Staff Sargeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Burial was at St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
