Leverence Bourgeois Sr., 74, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 1:12 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31, 2011.
Mr. Bourgeois was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores Curole Bourgeois; son, Leverence (Katie) Bourgeois Jr.; daughter, Doreen (Farrell) Bourgeois; one sister, Agnes B. Adams; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theophile and Lydia Danos Bourgeois; one brother, Norris Bourgeois; and two sisters, Anna Mae Clement and Inez Foret.
He is buried at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery.
