Lezeme Dorsey Jr., 77, a native of Lockport, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Thursday, July 9, at Bay Medical Center in Panama City, Fla.


He is survived by one son, Lezeme Duane Dorsey and wife Laura of Panama City; one brother, Royal Dorsey of Los Angles, Calif.; four sisters, Shirley Robinson of Thibodaux, La., Olivia Cooper of Baton Rouge, La., Eula Lawson of Lockport and Martha Saulsberry of Raceland; and two grandchildren,


He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia H. Dorsey; parents, Lezeme Dorsey Sr. and Dora Dorsey; two brothers, Ernest Dorsey and Lenard Dorsey; and two sisters, Francina Dorsey and Leotha Dorsey.

He was a member of Greater New Fountain Baptist Church and served on the Deacon Board.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Greater New Fountain Baptist Church in Lockport with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
