Lila Jean Poe Pierson, 90, a native of Akron, Ohio, and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
Mrs. Pierson was a member of the Associates of the Sisters of the Holy Nativity, Episcopal Women of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She served in the U.S. Women’s Army Corp. during World War II.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Lady) Pierson; daughter, Ronna Bulera; brother, Richard Poe; sisters, Ruth Edenhart and Linda Sunder; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Roland Pierson; parents, Stephen and Grace Poe; brother, Dale Poe; and sisters, Elaine Poe and Fern Driver.
Burial is at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
