Lillian Oncale Bourgeois, 94, a native and resident of Chackbay, La., died at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011.


She is survived by her children, Garland (Augustine), Gary (Jean), Larry (Edna) and Lionel Jr. “Jack” (Sylvia) Bourgeois, and Geraldine (Elton) LeBlanc; sister-in-law, Louise Oncale; 15 grandchildren, Ann, Darren, Jeffery, Jeremy, Mark, Randy and Timothy Bourgeois, Susan Byars, Mary Folse, Gina Hodgson, Barry and Jimmy LeBlanc, Linda Pitre, Monique Rodrigue and April Rome; 25 great-grandchildren, Abby, Alex, Austin, Ben, Cameron, Chet, Devin, Emily, Holly, Jay, Justin, Madeline and Morgan Bourgeois, Blake and Brittany Folse, Hallie and Logan Hodgson, Cameron and Dustin LeBlanc, Lacey Pitre, Brandi Richard, Caitlyn, Camryn and Carys Rodrigue, and Savannah Rome; and six great-great-grandchildren, Chelsey Folse, Elizabeth Morvant, Trinity Folse, Libby Pitre, and Claire and Nathan Richard.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel Bourgeois Sr.; parents, Bernard and Alida Oncale; three brothers, Leonard, Nelson and Paul Oncale; and one sister, Myrtle Chiasson.

The family would like to thank Dr. Chester Boudreaux, the ICU staff at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center and Amedisys Home Health Services.

She is buried at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
