Linnie Sinclair Hughes Folse, 92, a native of St. Mary Parish, La., died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010.

Friends and family know that St. Peter and her beloved Ned were waiting at the Pearly Gates to welcome her to Beulah Land with an ice cold martini (straight up, two olives and a twist), and that right now she has on her little red tennies and is dancing all over God’s heaven.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Moffitt Aycock; four grandchildren, Sinclair (J.J. III) Buquet, Dr. Jeffrey (Kimberly) Aycock, Julia Chenet Aycock, and James Allen Aycock; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey James Aycock, James Buquet IV and Mary Mercer Buquet; and one brother, Charles Sinclair.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen and Margaret Eulalia Sinclair; husband, Edward Nichols Pugh “Ned” Folse; and three siblings, James Allen Sinclair, Helen Sinclair Porth and Lucy Sinclair Dameron.

There will be a memorial service celebrating her life at 11 a.m. on Dec. 29 at St. James Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge.

Her family wishes to thank St. Claire Manor, Hospice of Baton Rouge and especially Mrs. Sally Wilson whose loving care was an inspiration to us all.

The family requests that charitable donations be made to the Ned Pugh and Linnie Sinclair Folse Scholarship Award, in care of Dr. Emily Batinski, 316 Hodges Hall, LSU, Baton Rouge, LA 70803.
