Lionel Jones Sr., 79, a resident of Franklin, La., and a native of Baldwin, La., died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at 6:05 a.m., at Iberia Medical Center, following a long illness.
Mr. Jones is survived by sons, Lionel Jr. (Paula), Kim (Ethel) and Eldridge Jones Sr.; daughters, Gertie (John) Boagni, Joy Alexander, Elonda Jones and LaWanya (Sirbatain Charles; brothers, Author Sr., Henry (Lucille) and Felton (Margaret) Jones Sr.; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
He is buried at Trinity Cemetery in Baldwin.
