Lionel Lyons, Sr., 73, a native of Houma, La and residents of Schriever, La. died Sunday, June 10, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Audrey Green Lyons; three daughters, Linda, Scheon and Vernell Lyons; three sons, Lionel, Jr., Rudy and wife Shontell and Rory Lyons; three brothers, Freddie, Johnnie, Jr., Washington and his wife Rita; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Lyons, Sr., Thelma Robinson Nash; one grandson, Quinton L. Jones; one brother, William Lyons, Sr.; one sister, Laura Lyons Toussaint; and his grandparents, George Washington Lyons and Mildred Lyons, Andrew Robinson, Sr. and Bertha Douglas Robinson.
Lionel was a mail contractor for the U. S. Postal Service in Thibodaux, La. and he was a Baptist.
Visitation is Friday, June 15, 2007 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Community Funeral Home in Houma. The funeral service is Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 2pm at Community Funeral Home in Houma. She will be buried at Halfway Cemetery.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
