Lionell Hawkins Sr., 52, a native of Thibodaux, La., and a resident of Jonesboro, Ga., died Wednesday, Feb. 21.
He is survived by his former wife, Jacqueline H. Pippins of Jonesboro; his fiancee’, Ebony Garland of Jonesboro; sons, Lionel Hawkins Jr. and wife, Kitty, of Conyers, Ga., Jason Hawkins and wife, Kim, and Jermaine Hawkins of Jonesboro; daughters, Tabitha H. Adams and husband, Rodney, of Thibodaux and Tammy Hawkins of Jonesboro; brothers, Ray C. Hawkins and wife, Patricia, of Jonesboro, Murphy Hawkins and wife, Everlina, Oscar Hawkins Jr. and wife, Dianne, of Thibodaux and Burnell Hawkins and wife, Constance, of Radcliff, Ky.; and sisters, Joyce Turner and husband, Bobby, of Thibodaux, Eloise H. Shortridge and Ruby Hawkins of Labadieville, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aldena and Oscar Hawkins Sr.; and his grandparents, Eddie and Lubertha Hawkins, Lou Ella and Christopher Bolt Sr.
He was Baptist.
He was buried at Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery No. 2.
Willie Watkins Funeral Home of Atlanta, Ga., and Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., are in charge of the arrangements.
