Lizzie Cleveland, 86, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011.
Ms. Cleveland was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church where she served on the usher board.
She is survived by her sons, Lawrence (Audrey), Clarence (Yolanda), David (Cleo) and Richard Jones; daughters, Dianne (Linton) Gray and Doris (Terry) Sylvester Sr.; sister, Sedonia Cleveland; brothers, Oscar and George Cleveland; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Jones; parents, Lawrence and Ada Cleveland; son, Herbert Jones; sisters, Lillian and Gertrude Cleveland, Edna Harris and Evelina Wilson; and brothers, Samuel Charles, Morris and Morrell Cleveland.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Morning Star Baptist Church in Raceland with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Kennedy)
