Lloyd Coleman, 74, a native of Terrebonne and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, March 31.


He is survived by his brother, Warrence Bennett Sr. and wife, Shirley, of Houma; and sisters, Octavia Jones and husband, Leroy, Sarah Kate Matthews, Gloria Smith and husband, Lionel, Elizabeth Bolden and husband, John, Pearl B. Jones, Louise Richard and husband, Anthony, and Ora M. Maze, all of Houma.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Octavia Nixon Bennett and the Rev. David “Dude” Coleman Zachary; brother, Zachary Bennett Jr.; and sisters, Ledoria Mimi Watkins, Joann Bennett Thomas and Lou Ella Bennett.

He was Baptist.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at Mechanicville Emanuel Baptist Church with services to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.

Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
