Logan Gerard Hanks, 18, a native and resident of Raceland, LA., died at 11:35 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007.


Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland.


He is survived by his parents, Billy and Becky Hanks; his grandparents, Roy and Rose L. Cheramie and Gloria B. Hanks; his godmother, Jody Cook; and his godfather, Chris Hanks.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gene Hanks; and his great-grandparents, Louis and Elise L. Cheramie and Charles and Carrie LeBlanc.

He loved NASCAR and going to “Camp Sunshine” in Bunkie.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to help with funeral expenses are preferred.

Smart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
