Lois “Maw Maw Lois” Marie Raffray, 69, a native of Lockport, La., and resident of Westwego, La., died Friday, July 9, 2010.
Mrs. Raffray was a cafeteria worker for Joshua Butler Elementary School.
She is survived by Penny (Perry Sumner) Sampey; granddaughter, Dana Sampey (Gene) Rivarde; two great-grandchildren, Blair Watts and Bailey Paige Rivarde; sisters, Dorothy Fungy, Joyce Raffray, Mary Richoux and Emelda “Flossy” Bourgeois; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert Raffray; and parents, Adam and Ella Arceneaux.
She is interred at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, La.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to her caregivers and to Amedisys Hospice.
