Lolita C. Champagne, 84, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Monday, September 8.


She is survived by her husband, Johnny Champagne; daughters, Judy C. Portier and Doborah C. Guidry; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Eva C. Foret Champagne; brothers, Clarence Foret, Nolan Chiasson and Ira Chiasson; and sisters, Irene Grabert, Virginia Fortmayer and Genevine Dufrene.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Saint Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, September 11, at Saint Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church will mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.

Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
