Lorenza Marie Bergeron Lecompte, 82, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Chauvin, La., died Thursday, January 29, at 11:30 a.m.
She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Henry and husband Larry of Chauvin, Frances Hammons and husband Tommy of Pointe Aux Chenes, La., and Sheryl Pitre and husband Raymond of Chauvin; brother, Evans Bergeron of Chauvin; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Lecompte; parents, Gustave Bergeron and Aliska Henry Bergeron; son, Leland Lecompte; brothers, Radley, Stanley, Gustave Jr., Clifton and Algier Bergeron; sisters, Venez Robichaux and Cecile Martin; and grandson, Michael Pitre.
She was a shrimp processor for Indian Ridge and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
