Lou Birda Lovely Griffin-Jackson, 61, a native of Terrebonne Parish, LA. and a resident of Chauvin, LA., died Thursday, January 11, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2007 at Community Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Chauvin, LA. Burial will be at the Southdown Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Hebert Jackson; her sons, Wendell Griffin, Sr., Henry Griffin, Isaac Griffin, Jr, and Lentrell Grifffin; her daughters, Cheryl Lewis, Mary Calloway, Lisa Griffin , Vernell Johnson, Maraget Griffin, and JoAnn Ricks; her brothers, Clarence Lovely, Jr., Michael Lovely and Willie Lovely; her sisters, Doretha Andrews and Joyce LaGarde; 58 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Isaac Griffin, Sr.; her parents, Clarence Lovely, Sr. and Hallet W. Lovely; her grandson, Wendell Griffin, Jr.; her brothers, Henry Lovely and L.J. Lovely, and her grandparents, Walter and Henryetta Cooks, and Willie Lovely and Lori Bearden.
She served as an usher.
Community Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
