Louis “Pony” Joseph Castle Sr., 68, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Mother Willie Mae Castle; daughters, Gwenette Townsend, Sonia (Ted Sr.) Castle-McGuire, Kellie (Cedric Sr.) Castle-Middlebrooks and Heather Castle; son, Louis Castle Jr.; one grandson, Ardale Burns-Castle; daughter-in-law, Leshiba Fry-Castle; brothers, William Sr. (Musette), Donald Sr. (Cynthia) and Joseph Sr. (Doris) Castle; sisters, Josie Mae Austin, Carolyn (Carlus) Carter, Rosalyn Castle, Clara (Albert) Barabin and Paulette Castle-Lay; brothers-in-law, William (Percy), Sidney and Stanley Russell; sisters-in-law, Delores Sylvan and Thelma Lee (Roland) Ozaen; uncle, Wallace Theriot; aunts, Ernestine Theriot, Winnie Holly, Charlotte (Sherman Sr.) Barabin and Rose Hampton; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two devoted friends, Cornell Robison and Ronald Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curvin Sr. and Riffie Castle; brothers, Isaac Sr. and Curvin Jr. Castle; daughter, Kim Castle; one grandson, Tedrick McGuire; godchild, Pauline Theriot; paternal grandparents, William and Clara Castle; and maternal grandparents, Beatrice Miller Theriot and Henry Champagne.
