December 23, 2011Louis J. Pitre Jr., 89, a native of Cut Off, La., and resident of Galliano, La., died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Judith Pitre; sons, Noble (Joyce), Jackie (Liz) and Tab (Yvette) Pitre; daughter, Bonnie (Larry) Mixon; 24 siblings; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Sr. and Laurencia Pitre; son, Gus Pitre; and sisters, Bertha and Jeanne Pitre and Naomie Cheramie.
Burial was at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. (Falgout)
