Louis Joseph Landry, 91, a native and resident of Choupic, La., died Monday, July 11, 2011.
Mr. Landry was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Normandy Campaign.
He is survived by his sons, Ray, Gene and Wayne Landry; daughters, Hazel Thibodeaux and Mary Zeringue; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Inez Landry; parents, Cletus and Lillian Landry; brothers, Walter and O’Neil Landry; and sisters, Rita McIntyre and Lillian Perez.
The family wishes to thank the staffs of Audubon Health and Rehabilitation, Family Doctor Clinic and St. Catherine Hospice.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 at Landry’s Funeral Home in Thibodaux, La., and 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Chackbay, La. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church with burial at the church cemetery. (Landry’s)
