Thibodaux church finds its place after 10-year expansion
January 12, 2010Louvenia “Veenie” Robichaux Ferreira, 57, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died at 10:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2010.
Mrs. Ferreira was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Raceland.
She is survived by her husband, Manuel “Mogie” Ferreira Jr.; sons, Scott (Summer), Rusty (Terri) and Nicholas “Nick” Ferreira; friend, Zeus; brothers, Donald, Francis (Brenda) and Samson (Sheryll) Robichaux; sisters, Eve Breaux, Rosalie (Eroy) Benoit, Cathy Vaughn and Charlene “Charlie” (Michael Thomson) Griffin; and three grandchildren, Dylan, Lindsey and Jade Ferreira.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Marie Pertuit Robichaux; brother, Paul Robichaux Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Carroll Breaux and Bill Vaughn.
She is buried at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church Cemetery in Raceland.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Troop C Make A Wish and St. Joseph Hospice.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
