Lucille Darcey Cunningham, 100, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010.


Ms. Cunningham was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. She was a wonderful homemaker, seamstress and cook.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Cunningham; and daughter, Carol (Bernard) Leach; seven grandchildren, Julie Leach Zvanut, Sharon Leach, Dr. Brian C. Leach, Shawn Cunningham, Ronald Cunningham, Maureen Cunningham Percle and Vicki Cunningham; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and a niece and nephew and many great friends.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Torres “Charlie” Cunningham; parents, Jules Joseph and Julia Marie Darcey; one son, Charles Cunningham; three brothers, Vesta, Milton and Nolan Darcey; and one sister, Beatrice Babin.

She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1.
