Lucille J. Elliott, 85, a native of Labadieville, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011.


Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Deloris Price, Christine Ray and Gail Jackson; son, Anthony (Gail) Ray; sisters, Corine Smith, Bernice Dennis, Yolanda (Willie) Johnson and Marcella (Nolan) Bryant; brother, Nathaniel Monroe; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Elliott; parents, Walter Joseph and Mary Richard; two sisters, Goumia Bryant and Elouise Calvin; and one brother, the Rev. Warren J. Richard.

She is buried at New Morning Star Baptist Church Cemetery in Labadieville.
